Researchers have proposed a standardized vocabulary (ontology) to describe how AI tasks should move across different hardware levels, from local sensors to massive data centers. By extending the SAREF4SYST standard, they've created a way for different systems to understand each other's AI pipelines and hardware constraints automatically. This solves the 'Tower of Babel' problem where AI tools and cloud resources use incompatible languages to describe their requirements.
