LSU physicists create first room-temperature quantum material

Researchers at LSU have developed a material that manages quantum states of light at room temperature, bypassing the need for massive cryogenic cooling. By suppressing atomic vibrations that usually kill quantum behavior, this could pave the way for practical quantum computers that don't require a liquid nitrogen budget. If scalable, this removes a major hardware bottleneck for future AGI infrastructure.
